THE BRACKET AS SHOWM (with out fender well) WILL INTERFEAR WITH THE FENDER WELL, DO YOU HAVE TO KNOTCH OUT?
Yes, you will want to clearance the fenderwell slightly. If this is undesirable, then just order the appropriate lowered shock. However, on an AirRide setup you will have no choice as you need to run a longer shocks with more stroke.
I see in the picture that the engine is pulled off frame. I just purchased these brackets and when I started to place the driver side bracket I realized the bell crank frame bracket is right where the shock mount is supposed to be positioned. Is there anything I can do to make this work? a different bellcrank bracket possibly?
Assuming that you have a manual transmission? Please email us at info@performanceonline.com with pictures and we will go over the installation.
The clutch linkage ( Z bar ) frame bracket on the drivers side will not allow mounting of the shock relocation bracket on a 1966 C10 with V8 small block and manual 4 speed. Is there a modified bracket for my particular installation ?
Hello, You are correct. The front shock relocation kit sits right were the clutch bracket is. You are left with 2 choices. Mount the shock relocator on the
outside of the frame or, don not use them and run a lowered shock only.
I mounted mine on the side of the frame rail using stock length shock and it worked perfectly. It actually gave the shock a more appropriate position angle than the stock location.
